  • Responsible for all aspects of business office for two very successful SW Florida radio stations with combined yearly sales which surpassed budgeted goals more than 25%.  Duties included accounts receivable and payable, collections, human resources, payroll and personnel for a staff of 25, monthly bank reconciliations.  Supervised 2 administrative employees.   Also responsible for weekly sales reports as well as monthly expense projections to corporate office and reconciliations of all accounts for monthly P&L’s and assisted in the annual budgeting process.  During my employment we increased the average monthly revenue by 30% and decreased the 120 day collections by 65%.  Maintained computer system for stations’ contract, traffic and billing programs.  

1986 to 2001 – Law Firm/Radio/Accounting Firm, Southwest Florida

  • Responsibilities included all client correspondence and monthly A/R & A/P in the Business, Tax and Estate Planning Department.  Maintained legal corporate records for over 125 business accounts and personal estate planning documents for over 200 clients.  Maintained public files and administered EEO policies for staff of 55 to meet all FCC requirements.  Responsible for advertising contracts and production orders for all national advertising buys through Marketron computer system.  Assisted in the buyout of 3 radio stations in the SW Florida market.  Responsible for all human resources duties to include personnel files, benefits, payroll, staff evaluations and CPE training for professionals.  Completed annual budget process for all departments.  Maintained network computer system including all upgrades and daily backups.  Processed corporate/personal tax returns to meet deadlines established by IRS and various state and local taxing authorities.  System administrator for UNISYS accounting system.
